Weekly Challenge #24

A picture of your favorite book

Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes,
And I shall observe it to the end.
Give me understanding, that I may observe Your law
And keep it with all my heart.
Make me walk in the path of Your commandments,
For I delight in it.
This is one book I open on so many occasions - it is and represents the Source of my life, a comfort in times of desperation, in times of joy, in times of study, a reminder of what my G-d is like, who He is, and how I'm to worship Him.

Now, if you're talking about something for mere entertainment, I'll choose The Clone Wars - Wild Space by Karen Miller.  I love well written Star Wars books!  Not only is this one entertaining and engaging, but it has so many parallels to life situations.  I love the banter between Obi Wan and Bail - it has provided so many worthy quotes.

"Let's hear it for the puny human!"
"If that's your idea of diplomatic bargaining, then I must tell you your technique leaves a great deal to be desired."
"If fine was another word for 'on the brink of collapse', I'd agree with you."
"But I prefer to think of it as... not winning at the moment."
"Oh, dear.  I seem to have fallen down a ravine."
"Well, that's wonderful.  Let's hear it for pain."
"While I'm hurting I can think.  Right now I'm hurting rather a lot so let's not waste it, shall we?"
