Challenge #2

A picture of you and the person you have been close with for the longest.


That would be Larry - 28 years it is now! This pic is from our first year of marriage (1983).


We've shared so much over the years. We've shared grief - when I lost my oldest brother, then later my dad, and when he lost his beloved stepfather. He's been so supportive when I've been hurting.

We've struggled through lean years when we had to work so very hard to make ends meet. Even then we shared much laughter and just hanging together trying to figure out how to make this marriage thing work.

Then there were those years when we weren't close at all (that marriage thing didn't work so well then), but things got better and now we're close again. We've both grown and learned much about accepting each other for who we are and not trying to force each other into a mold that doesn't fit.

We've traveled the faith road, each going at our own pace, experiencing the various congregations we felt were right at the time - allowing each other to decide what works best for our individual needs. Here's a more recent pic!

Yep, that's Larry - I love him so much!
