Daily Mindfulness Practice

Eight Attitudes of Mindfulness

Beginner’s Mind – awareness of things as new and fresh.

Nonjudgment – impartial observation, no labeling thoughts, feelings; taking note of each moment.

Acknowledgement – awareness that validates things as they are.
Non-striving – no grasping, aversion to change, or movement away from the moment.

Equanimity – involves balance and fosters wisdom. Allows a deep understanding of change and allows me to be with change with greater insight and compassion.

Letting be – be with things as they are, no need to try to let go of the present.

Self-reliance – seeing for myself, from my own experience, what is true or untrue.

Self-compassion – love for self as I am without blame or criticism.
