31. What could society do without?
Injustice
Self righteousness
Intolerance
Legalism
32. What is one thing right now that you are totally sure of?
I am absolutely sure that I belong to the One who created me, that He loves me without measure, and that He is sovereign in all things, and I know that I am loved and wanted. And, that I can do absolutely nothing without Him.
33. If you could get a message across to a large group of people, what would it be?
I'm sure this will sound redundant, but what else is there except love others and quit being selfish.
34. What's something you said you'd never do but have since done?
~ become my mother... hehe! At one point I was going to be a nun.
~ left a beloved congregation where I thought I'd be till I was old and gray.
~ be very happy outside any congregation.
~ practice yoga and love it.
~ enjoy wine and tequila.
How about a few things I never even imagined doing?
~ be a Star Wars geek, even to the point of costuming as a Jedi!
~ spend years searching the world for little bits of carved rubber, even carving several myself.
~ travel the country with my bestie and our collective four teens - twice even!
~ wear heels and mascara!
~ blog and be on Facebook!
35. What's something you changed your mind about as you grew older?
Hmm... let me think about that.
I was pretty cocky when I was fresh out of college - I was pretty sure I knew how a marriage should work and that I could do it without much effort. I know, you're all laughing at that one... lo and behold, I now know (30 years later) that I knew nothing, absolutely nothing.
You'll laugh at this one, too... I was sure I knew how to parent without doing much reading about it. hahaha! Boy, was I wrong! Not only that, but I was pretty sure that I understood kids and parents when I was first teaching elementary school. Ha! What a joke! It took having my own to fix that.
Then there are things like drinking, make up, wearing heels, dressing frumpy, having my house be perfectly clean (impossible with two guys), ... okay, I'll stop now.
The L-rd has a very persuasive way of showing me what I need to work on.
