Solitude

"I will exalt You, my G-d the King;

I will praise Your name for ever and ever.

Every day I will praise You

and extol Your name for ever and ever."

 Alone... alone I walked the path, a path trodden many times over the years, though typically accompanied by others sharing the journey with me.  Today, though, was a time to be alone. Thinking deeply, exchanging thoughts with my Creator, looking over memories of times far in the past seeing the connection to the present.  Both past and present determine the future...

Healing is what I sought. Wholeness, clarity, and  calm.

Take out the memories, look them over, acknowledge them and the affect they've had.  Make a decision to move forward and let them go, embracing who I am - both present and future.

The words came on a melody - 'be still and let Me be G-d' - the message is clear, the path will become so.  Beautiful in its simplicity, yet profound.

"The LORD is near to all who call on Him,

to all who call on Him in truth.

He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him;

He hears their cry and saves them."
